Project Sekai is a music-focused game where players test their timing by interacting with falling notes on the screen. To succeed, participants must master the rhythm of the music, tapping, swiping, and flicking their devices in time with continuously changing rhythmic notes. The gameplay adapts to varying experience levels through five distinct difficulty modes ranging from easy and normal to hard, expert, and master. Beginners can start on easy mode to build coordination, while high-tempo tracks require precision and a strong feel for the underlying rhythm to connect notes successfully.

The game features a wide variety of Japanese anime songs, offering over 400 tracks to explore. Notable musical selections include ROKI, Tell Your World, BRING IT ON, Happy Synthesizer, Melt, and Charles. Popular virtual singers and characters such as Hatsune Miku, Kagamine Rin, Megurine Luka, Meiko, and Kaito appear as animated characters, bringing vocal performances and visual flair to the experience. Live2D animation brings the characters to life with animated dialogue that enhances immersion during play.

Live Events, Modes, and Competitive Play

Players can participate in multiple live stream event types, including solo streams, multiplayer streams, and fun live streams hosted during carnivals. Competitive participants can enter ranked matches to improve their standing and win rewards. Additionally, users can set up private games to invite small groups of participants or access Pro Rooms designed to offer exclusive rewards for high-level players.
