About this app
Fruit Ninja is a touch-based skill game in which your finger acts as a sword for slicing fruit as it rises from the bottom of the screen. Mangoes, bananas, apples, kiwis, and melons bounce into view, and a swipe across them cuts them apart. The game represents the action through the gesture and a sword-swipe sound effect rather than a visible weapon. Missing fruit lets it fall, while bombs appear among the fruit and create a separate hazard.
Swiping, missed fruit, and bombs
The central interaction is matching a quick finger movement with the position of incoming fruit. Slices can be linked into combos, which award extra points. The rules around missed fruit and bombs depend on the mode: dropped fruit costs a life in the described runs, while a bomb is dangerous when it is cut. In Classic, dropped fruit ends the run and hitting a bomb ends it immediately. This makes the same swipe useful for collecting points but also important to control when a bomb is nearby.
Three ways to play
Classic is an endless test based on maintaining a run while avoiding its stated failure conditions. Arcade is focused on chasing a high score and includes bananas with effects such as Double Score, Freeze, and Frenzy, which alter the pace of a run. Zen removes bombs and timers, providing a mode centered on clean slicing without those two pressures. These rules give the fruit-cutting mechanic different objectives without changing the basic touch input.
Events and daily objectives
Event mode adds rotating challenges involving characters such as Truffles, Mari, and Rinjin. Winning these face-offs can earn unique swords and dojos usable in Classic, Zen, and Arcade. Events therefore provide targets beyond a single personal score, although their available challenges vary over time. A separate Daily Challenge presents a short task with a clear objective and offers special rewards when completed. These rewards can refresh a loadout or provide another item to try.
Blades, dojos, and powerups
Before a run, players can equip score-boosting powerups. Blades and dojos provide visual customization, and the source describes some of them as adding effects that influence how points flow during a session. Collecting and testing these items lets players adjust a setup for Arcade scoring, Zen practice, or Classic survival attempts. The customization system is connected to play through the selected equipment and its stated effects, while the underlying slicing action remains gesture-based.
Shared play and themed content
Shared-screen local multiplayer allows another person to play on the same device. Global leaderboards record placement after a session, giving high-score runs a longer-term comparison point. The game also includes small side activities inspired by Fruit Ninja: Puss in Boots. A documented PAC-MAN game theme adds four blades with unique powers, four dojos, a collection system, and PAC-MAN avatars unlocked through challenges. Four associated events can provide duplicate items that level up the blades and unlock or increase their powers.
