WAZ News Mod

WAZ News Mod is designed for readers who want to follow news from WAZ.de on their smartphone without opening several websites or platforms. The app brings the most important articles from the source directly to the device, covering topics such as the user's city, region, politics, business, panorama, sport and more.

Keeping up with news on the go

The app is intended for checking the day's news from wherever you are. Sections include the city, the region, politics, business, panorama and sport, so readers can move between topics that interest them without searching several sites. The listing describes the app as a way to stay updated on the go.

Receiving alerts for important events

Push notifications are the app's feature for timely updates. According to the listing, the app notifies users directly about particularly important events and breaking news, which helps readers stay informed in near real time. The listing does not describe how notifications can be adjusted, so those details are not covered here.

Sharing articles with friends and family

Readers can share or recommend articles using the app's built-in sharing feature. The listing names Twitter, Facebook, email and WhatsApp as sharing options, which allows an article to be passed on to others directly from the app.

Finding sections through the side menu

Navigation is organized around a menu on the right side of the app. From this menu, users can move between the different categories and sections of news. The listing presents this as a way to quickly find the topics that interest the reader.

Understanding in-app subscriptions

The listing mentions paid in-app subscriptions. Their cost is charged to the user's Google Account, and the exact amount depends on the subscription term selected. The amount is shown during the confirmation process. Automatic renewal can be turned off up to 24 hours before expiration. To do this, open the Play Store on the device, tap your icon, go to Payments and subscriptions, and select Subscriptions. If a subscription is not cancelled within the selected term, the amount for the extension is debited from the Google Account 24 hours before the new subscription starts, so cancelling on time matters for anyone who does not want to continue.

The listing identifies FUNKE MEDIENGRUPPE as the developer and News and Magazines as the category. The version described is 6.1.10.
