VPN Korea - free and fast Korean VPN

VPN Korea - free and fast Korean VPN is an Android VPN app from AltApps, listed in the Tools category at version 1.107. According to its listing, the app is designed to help users reach blocked websites and apps, change their IP address, and keep their online activity private.

Korean IP addresses and server selection

The listing describes a single-click way to obtain a Korean IP address. A second option lets users choose from a list of servers in different countries, which the listing suggests can be used to change IP address or reach region-restricted content. The listing describes the service as fast and free, but it does not state how many servers are available.

Access to restricted sites and apps

The app states that it can help when access is limited by an Internet Service Provider or by regional firewall restrictions. The listing names VoIP networks, video calls, and torrent websites as examples of services users may try to reach through the app.

Encryption on open Wi-Fi networks

The listing says the app uses 1024-bit key encryption to protect web traffic. It presents this as protection on password-less Wi-Fi networks, where the listing says data may be transmitted without encryption. It also states that an Internet Service Provider can only detect a connection to the VPN rather than the specific sites a user visits. These are the developer's descriptions, and this page does not independently verify them.

Interface and torrenting use

The listing describes an interface with two connection buttons: one for connecting to a selected VPN server and another for connecting directly to a Korean VPN server. The listing also mentions torrent downloading and advises users to connect to a server in a country where torrenting is allowed. It does not explain legal considerations beyond that note, so users should review the rules that apply to them.
