About this app
KRA PAYE Tax Calculator Kenya is an Android finance app for calculating monthly and annual net pay in Kenya. Its description says the calculator includes changes from the Finance Act 2023 and allows users to account for insurance and loan deductions.
What pay calculations does the app cover?
The main function is estimating net pay over either a month or a year. The app is aimed at calculations related to Kenya PAYE, and the description identifies the Finance Act 2023 changes as part of the tax information included. It does not specify the calculation formula or provide details about individual tax bands.
Can insurance and loan deductions be included?
Yes. Insurance and loan deductions can be included in the calculations, so the resulting net-pay estimate can take those items into account. The description does not set out deduction limits or explain how the amount for each deduction is entered.
What other tools are listed?
Alongside the PAYE calculator, the app lists a BMI Calculator and a Loan Calculator. It also includes a Food Recipe app and an SMS Gateway app. These are additional tools named in the description; no further details about their controls or functions are provided.
Which tax update does the description mention?
The description specifically refers to changes from the Finance Act 2023. It also makes a general claim that the app adapts to current KRA standards, but it does not provide a schedule for updates or identify any tax changes beyond the 2023 Act.
