Flex VPN

Flex VPN is an Android VPN app from Solnce Drive that encrypts your internet connection with the OpenVPN protocol to help keep your online activity from being tracked by third parties. According to the listing, this encryption is meant to offer more protection than a regular proxy. The situations below describe where the documented features are relevant.

Using public Wi-Fi networks

The listing highlights public Wi-Fi, such as networks in cafes or airports, as a setting where the app is meant to protect your internet activity. The stated goal is to help safeguard personal information and keep online activities private while connected to a shared network.

Choosing which apps use the VPN

The app offers an app selection option, which lets you pick specific applications that use the VPN. The listing suggests using this to prioritize apps that need more security and privacy, so that VPN use matches your own needs. The source does not explain how the selection is made inside the interface, so those details should be checked in the app itself.

Everyday browsing across network types

For general use, the listing says the app works with Wi-Fi, 5G, LTE/4G, 3G, and all mobile data networks. The same encrypted connection can therefore be used across these connection types. The listing also describes the interface as easy to navigate and states that there are no advertisements to interrupt browsing. It further claims there are no time or usage restrictions, that no registration or configuration is required, and that the app has a compact size. These are developer claims and have not been independently verified here.

Keeping the app current

The developer recommends keeping the app updated to receive the latest security features and bug fixes. The listed version is 1.3.3. Regular updates are presented as helping maintain a secure VPN experience, which is the developer's stated advice rather than a guarantee.
