AlphaVPN - Proxy VPN

AlphaVPN - Proxy VPN is an Android VPN and proxy application for connecting to remote servers while browsing websites or using apps. Its main purpose is to help users reach content that may be restricted by region or network, with a simple connection process started from the app.

Access through VPN servers

The app provides servers in locations around the world. Users can connect to a server and route supported internet activity through the VPN, which is intended to help bypass geographical restrictions on websites and apps. The source describes the available service as free and without traffic restrictions, although connection performance can depend on the selected server and network conditions.

AlphaVPN - Proxy VPN is designed around a one-button connection flow. It can be used when a user wants to change the network route for browsing or for selected applications rather than configuring a proxy manually.

Connection privacy and hotspot use

The app includes encryption for VPN connections. This is particularly presented for public Wi-Fi hotspots, where users may want their internet traffic protected while connected through a shared wireless network. The application describes this protection as applying to personal information and data sent through the VPN connection; it should not be treated as a guarantee against every online risk.

Split tunneling and server selection

Split tunneling lets users choose which apps use the VPN connection. This provides a way to keep VPN routing limited to selected applications instead of applying it to every app on the device. The app also allows users to choose from its available servers, including servers described in the source as being selected for speed. The practical result depends on server location, current demand, and the user's own internet connection.
